Update from Dr. Campbell in Port-Au-Prince:
Driving through the crumbling city, buildings and streets destroyed. People everywhere walking with faces that speak of a horror I cannot imagine-exhausted, nothing left. Yet on the corner a man sold sugarcane, and a few were beginning to walk around in the safety of daylight hours…we are at Kings Hospital in PAP–Jeanne,Dr. David

Update from Dr. Campbell in Port-Au-Prince:
Noise. Noise surrounding me, entering into every pore; dust flying, wind whipping my hair. People scrambling as planes fly in and out, rapidly unloading as they must leave so another can land.
Earthquake: 01/16/10
VPI has sent Dr. Sylvia Campbell and Jeannie Gres (CNRA) to Haiti following the earthquake where they are currently serving by performing surgeries at the King’s Hospital north of Port-Au-Prince. We appreciate your prayers for them. We anticipate their return in approximately ten days.

Earthquake: 01/14/10
MFI was not able to come in today. They are just north of Haiti in Provo. They will try again tomorrow. All our
families are still here.
The airport is a zoo. I hope they let civilian traffic in soon. Right now it is just military and official relief people. The ramp was full of planes today and I could always see 3 or 4 on final making circles waiting to land. News media is taking up quite a bit of space too.
